Apple Launches New 'Ipad'

Multi-Touch
The Multi-Touch screen on the iPad uses the same revolutionary technology that’s in an iPhone. But for iPad, the technology has been completely reengineered for the larger surface, to make it extremely precise and responsive. So when you’re zooming in on a map, flicking through your photos, or deleting an email, iPad responds with incredible accuracy. And it does just what you want it to.

Thin and light
One of the first things you’ll notice about the iPad is how thin and light it is. The screen is 9.7 inches, measured diagonally. So overall, it’s slightly smaller than a magazine. And at just 1.5 lbs and 0.5 inches thin,
it’s easy to carry and use anywhere. There’s also a slight curve to the back. Which makes it easy to pick up and comfortable to hold.
App Store
If you tap on the App Store icon, it’ll take you to a special section of the Store that has apps specifically designed for iPad. You can also browse through
iPhone and iPod touch apps, including entertainment apps, productivity apps, social networking apps, games, and more. And you can buy and download them wirelessly, right from the iPad. No matter what you need, there’s bound to be an app for it.

Canon prepping 60D and 550D / 600D with articulating displays?
By Ross Miller posted Jan 26th 2010 7:58PM

Camera aficionados, looks like it's time for the pre-PMA rumor mill to start churning. Our inaugural whisper this season comes care of a forum poster at d-spot.co.il, who according to Canon Rumors' tipster has been accurate in the past (at this point we've been unable to corroborate). Here's the deal: a Canon 60D and Canon 550D / 600D (i.e. Rebel series). Both apparently feature a 15.1 megapixel APS-C sensor, articulating screens, and 720p video at 30 frames per second. The 60D, however, can also claim 1080p footage -- odd that the Rebel doesn't, since the current T1i has 1080p -- an electronic level, and a new battery and grip compared to its 50D successor. That one's apparently priced at around $1,190 and due out in May, while the other is $799 with no connection to a release date given. Make no mistake, between this and those waterproof Sony point-and-shoots, this is only the beginning.

Why HD? - Jason Magbanua

Here's something from a wedding videographer of Philippines have to say about HD for your wedding. Kinda love how the way he presented this for ones who plan to get married.

Don’t worry no technical mumbo-jumbo here (well at least it’s kept to a minimum).

HD - short for High Definition. Simply put, it’s higher quality video made available for your wedding day. The recorded image is much much bigger, clearer, more vibrant and life-like.

So, why go HD?

1. You want to maximize that 42 inch LCD or Plasma TV you’re buying for your new home.
2. You’re getting your husband that PlayStation3 or Bluray player for Christmas. (In exchange of course with that Tiffany charm bracelet)
3. You want the best possible recording technology available today to preserve your wedding day memories. Nuff said.

Why HD? It’s 2008, I guess the better question is - When HD?

With screen size alone the difference is pretty obvious (HD is 1440×1080 pixels, Standard Definition DVD is 720×480, YouTube is a mere 320×240). To give you an idea, here’s a relative comparison chart:

hd-sd-comparison.

*Now, doesn't that sound convincing?? Me and my partner Shopian Said will do our very best to satisfy your wedding and needs to create this wonderful memory of yours in HD plus extras plus satisfaction! :) Boo! Or whatever that makes you feel better. :P

The Fourth Kind

There are 4 kinds of alien encounters. The fourth kind is 'abduction'. I've been waiting for this film to come out clear copy about a month. Got it, watched it and experienced it. By the end of the film, its your choice to believe it or not.

In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. Modern-day, Alaska, where-mysteriously since the 1960s-a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented. The Fourth Kind exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.

HD DSLRs

Towards the end of last year, a friend of mine introduced me a couple of sites from high-end filmmakers in the states. It came to amazed when I realized that HD DSLRs are actually a huge thing going on at the moment especially with DSLRs such as the Canon 5DMRKII and 7D. You are able to actually shoot an entire event/wedding with it! But yet again, you have some disadvantages as well.

At this point, I’ve also wonder whether Canon is killing the market for building canon HD camcorders. Well, obviously they are still usable and has its best. I myself have been dreaming of owning a proper high-end camcorder such as the Sony PMW EX1 or better yet, Canon XH-A1.

But it clearly made sense, it doesn’t matter what you use, the importance of this is the end product. It bugs me a lot that the locals around wouldn’t care less to understand but to have the cheapest price they can ever get. What’s more ashamed is that, it’s their big day of commitment in a marriage and all you can think of is having a 500 dollar videographer to shoot the entire event. WTF….i feel so pity for you.

The worst part is, they make the price FOR you. WTF…… HAHAHAHA!

Anyways, I’m planning to start HD DSLRs and I’ve been aiming a couple of things. Been looking at some sites and seriously, its incredible on what is used to even shoot a motion picture, movie! The best thing of all about it is, obviously a variety of lens you can use.

AN UPDATE

Honestly, I’m no good with HTML codes. It sucks. Haven’t got around to study them properly. I was bored with my previous layouts and found something simple. Got the codes, copy and paste and here you go. THIS! It’s okay really but I couldn’t get that stupid advert thing on the sidebar to move/delete! Yet, I’m also having difficulties on changing those links above. Fucker.. But then again, fuck it. Doesn’t matter anyways. Its not like I’m trying to advertise my blog. ‘No Way’. It’s basically a site to write my rants and stories. But here’s an idea, for those who are actually following me or in other words stalking me!, most of my everyday timelines are on Twitter.
